During Fun With Sports and Friends, our Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists team together to assist children who want to participate in sports or just play a game of catch in the cul-de-sac with friends. These children sometimes have difficulty interacting socially, as they find it hard to foster friendships and experience successful interaction.
During fun activities, our professional staff members and therapy assistants promote skill development such as fine motor dexterity, ball skills, balance, and social interaction. Sensory processing is an important component of our programming as it provides the foundation for both motor skill and social development.
Together our Fun With Sports and Friends participants learn about good sportsmanship, experience how to be a part of a team, and develop perseverance, flexibility and problem solving.
By joining Fun With Sports and Friends, children have the opportunity to learn new skills, have time for practice, and experience success in a fun environment!
